Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist to join the Strain Development team within Plant Health Research. This role focuses on screening and evaluating microbial strains to support industrial fermentation and product development. You will play a key role in generating, analysing, and interpreting experimental data to guide strain optimisation.
Location: Hørsholm, Denmark (European Innovation Centre)
Main Responsibilities:
Perform small-scale microbial cultivation for screening workflows.
Execute manual and semi-automated screening experiments.
Analyse, interpret, and visualise experimental data.
Support strain development through collaboration with engineering colleagues.
Document experimental work in Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN).
Contribute to continuous improvement of screening methods and workflows.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Mandatory Requirements:
BSc or MSc in biotechnology, microbiology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Practical experience with microbial cultivation and laboratory techniques.
Ability to analyse and interpret experimental data.
Strong attention to detail and structured working approach.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
